SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah Steel has partnered with Podium X to provide its players with access to a career development platform designed specifically for athletes. The initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting players with professional resources that grow alongside their athletic careers, prepare for career opportunities, and organize their professional accomplishments both during and beyond their time on the court.
“Our organization believes supporting athletes means supporting the whole person. Podium X provides practical career resources that complement everything our athletes are already building,” said John Thompson, the Zawyer Sports Savannah Market President.
Podium X brings career development tools together in one place, allowing athletes to build a professional profile that serves as the foundation for resumes, interview preparation, and career opportunities. Rather than managing multiple platforms and documents, athletes can maintain one evolving professional profile that grows with them throughout their careers.
Designed specifically for athletes, the platform helps users showcase leadership, teamwork, discipline, and other transferable skills developed through competition while providing AI-powered tools to customize application materials for opportunities both within and outside the platform.
Athletes also gain access to career opportunities from employers that recognize the value of the skills developed through competition, creating meaningful connections beyond the game.
Professional athletes dedicate countless hours to developing their craft. Providing career development resources alongside that journey gives them the opportunity to build a professional presence with the same intentionality they bring to their sport.
“The Savannah Steel’s commitment to developing the whole player is something we deeply respect, and we’re proud to support that mission. Whether an athlete is pursuing new opportunities during the offseason or preparing for whatever comes next, we hope Podium X becomes a valuable resource they can return to throughout their professional journey,” said Ann Schulz, President of Podium X.
