Chicago, Ill. — DePaul University and Podium X today announced a new partnership designed to help DePaul University student-athletes prepare for success beyond athletics through career development resources and access to internship and job opportunities.
Through the partnership, student-athletes will have access to Podium X’s professional profiles, resume-building tools, AI-powered career assistance, interview preparation, and other resources designed to help them identify and communicate the valuable skills developed through their collegiate athletic experience.
“We are thrilled to partner with Podium X to further strengthen the career development programming and resources available through DePaul University and our ELEVATE program,” shares Kate O’Brien, Senior Associate AD for Student Athlete Development. “As the needs of student-athletes continue to evolve, this partnership enables us to deliver innovative, personalized support while reinforcing our commitment to providing a first-class student-athlete experience. Together, we are creating more opportunities for student-athletes to explore career pathways, build meaningful connections, and develop the skills needed to thrive both during and after their time at DePaul.”
The Podium X platform is designed specifically to help athletes translate their experiences into career opportunities. Student-athletes can build professional profiles that showcase their academic, athletic, leadership, and work experiences; create and customize resumes; explore and apply for jobs and internships; and use AI-powered tools for cover letters, interview preparation, thank-you notes, resume optimization, and more.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with DePaul University and support the work they’re already doing to help their student-athletes prepare for life beyond athletics,” said Ann Schulz, President and Co-Founder of Podium X. “We’re excited to complement DePaul’s career services efforts by providing student-athletes with additional tools, resources, and opportunities to explore careers, build their professional brands, and confidently take the next step after graduation. Our goal is to work alongside their team and make career development more accessible and relevant to the unique experiences of student-athletes.”
