Samford Athletics Announces Deal With Podium X
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford Athletics Department has reached a deal with Podium X to benefit each of the school’s student-athletes.
Podium X, which is a resource that is being provided through the CHAMPS program, serves as a professional profile building tool, empowering student-athletes to showcase their transferable skills and distinct experiences to potential employers. It offers a streamlined one-click resume generator, a comprehensive job board, and an educational hub for career advancement. Additionally, we’re thrilled to announce that Podium X also features an NIL pitch profile creator, helping student-athletes harness the potential of Name, Image and Likeness opportunities.
“Samford University Athletics is thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with Podium X,” JeNorri Armstead, Samford’s Director of Diversity & Intercultural Initiatives for Athletics, said. “We believe this will be a great asset for our student-athletes that allows them to showcase their achievements in both the classroom and their respective sports. It’s not just about winning games; it’s about preparing our students for their future and setting them up for success long after they leave the playing field.”
Under this partnership, all Samford student-athletes have the opportunity to construct a Podium profile, which will greatly assist them in exploring possibilities in areas like NIL opportunities, graduate school, internships and future careers. Through Podium X, the student-athletes gain direct access to companies actively seeking to hire individuals with an athletic background.
