    Entry Level Recruiter

  • Job Description

    The purpose of the Recruiter role is to build the foundation for a successful sales career at Insight Global. As a Recruiter, you’ll learn all about staffing and our services – and how to sell them to current and future clients. You’ll play the role of matchmaker for companies and candidates by reviewing resumes from IGs internal database and online job boards, conducting phone interviews, preparing candidates to meet hiring managers, and ultimately negotiating job offers to get them hired.

Promotion Opportunities After Only 6 Months

The average employee spends approximately six months in the Entry Level Recruiter role before enrolling into either Professional Recruiter Training (PRT) or Account Manager Training (AMT). The next 8 to 12 weeks, you’ll be working to earn your promotion into either role by applying the skills and knowledge you learned to real-world scenarios with your future clients.  

  • Professional Recruiter

    Professional recruiters focus on the candidate side of the business actively searching for qualified candidates to meet the talent needs of our clients. Professional recruiters source candidates through various channels, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and present the most suitable candidates to the account managers. This role is an advancement of the entry level position where you will continue the role of matchmaker for companies and candidates and will help negotiate the job offer. Professional recruiters often find this job very rewarding because it provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life by helping them find a job with one of our outstanding clients.

  • Account Manager

    Account Managers focus on the client side of our business and are the face of our organization. Work directly with hiring managers at Fortune 1,000 companies by researching and targeting organizations in need of staffing services. You’ll make initial connection through networking and cold calls, ultimately becoming valuable business consultants and building long-term relationships with your clients. Account Managers run in-person meetings and lunches to get to know hiring goals, team dynamics, and sell how IG services can elevate their business. You’ll then gather job requirements and work hand-in-hand with our Recruiting team to find the perfect candidates to fill each role. Account Managers don’t sell a product, they sell staffing and are experts when it comes to all things hiring.

When you visit Insight Global’s website, your first impression will be that they lead with their heart. Insight Global is an Atlanta-based staffing company established in 2001 that has grown to 65 offices in 36 states in the U.S. They’ve recently expanded to Canada, India, and London in the U.K., making them truly global 20-some years after their founder started the company in his basement.  

The staffing and services company specializes in sourcing IT, healthcare, finance/accounting, engineering, and public sector professionals for Fortune 1000 clients, placing 50,000 people from 50 countries in jobs annually.  

Long-term team members (and there are plenty of them) say this is a company where you can work your entire career. “This is the place you come to find your people,” says Maggie (Darley) Teets, Lead Talent Acquisition Manager. “Our teams know that when we say ‘everyone matters in this company’, we mean it.”  

In 2018, Insight Global developed its mission and values statements that now drive every business decision. Their “compass” includes their mission to help their people grow personally, professionally, and financially so they can “be the light.” Their values were put to the test during the 2020 global pandemic. The leadership team never wavered in its decision to keep every staff member in the company on the payroll. And because so many workers throughout the country were unemployed and in despair, their “Be the Light Tour” was established.  

The Be the Light Tour provides local job seekers in dozens of communities access to job-readiness resources such as resume workshops, one-on-one career counseling, LinkedIn training, a headshot studio, and more. They partner with local companies to host hiring events and connect adults and students with workshops, professional clothing, and free haircuts. 

About 15% of Insight Global’s workforce is made up of former collegiate athletes, says Maggie Darley Teets. “We value athletes because they have all the intangibles needed to succeed in our industry and in our company. They know how to hustle and play as a team. They’re coachable and willing to improve their own performance to help the team win. They have the resilience and the competitiveness it takes to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment. The ”We take care of each other” value is evident in their training and mentoring process for new hires. They don’t look for a particular major or degree, Maggie says; as long as a candidate is willing to learn, work hard, and persist, the company takes care of what they need to know. The IG University is the company’s signature program designed to equip its people with everything they need to crush it.  

From the CEO to budding Account Managers, all employees are enriched, coached, and cultivated at IGU, a multidisciplinary resource that includes one-on-one mentorship, classroom training, group discussions, C-suite shadowing, and a learn-by-doing approach. 

Mike Broghammer is a sales manager in Minneapolis. He, like most IG employees, was hired right out of college. He attended Notre Dame, where he played power forward on the basketball team. “I was sure I was headed for the NBA,” Mike says, “even after two patellar tendon surgeries. I was wrong, but I didn’t have a Plan B.”  

Mike says he met an IG recruiter at a career fair. He didn’t know anything about staffing, but his father had been a career salesman, so he figured he had a shot at success. “The first thing I learned,” he says, “is how much I didn’t know. Thank goodness I landed at this company, with its incredible training and support system.” 

He goes on to say he made a lot of errors and false starts, as does any entry-level employee. “If production was the measure of success, I’d have been gone in my first year. Instead, IG rates their employees on how hard they’re working on getting better. It’s your effort that matters while you’re learning the job. And that’s something all former student athletes know how to do: listen to their coach and work hard to get better.”  

Maggie says their new hires love the upbeat and celebratory culture they find with their teams. “Every hire, every new account is celebrated like a fourth-quarter touchdown,” she says. “From ringing a bell to high fives, we cheer the success of each other and the people we place.”
